Welcome :)

Hi, thanks so much for stopping by the Geminie Photography Blog. Here you’ll be able to see sneak peeks of our work (before it hits the site), read about our daily life (which usually involves our incredibly sweet fur child marco), and meet some of the amazing people we get to photograph. So relax, get comfy, and hang out for a bit Here’s a little photo from a road trip I took a while ago, we really need to get some new shots of us, but until then I think this will do! Thanks again for visiting! Cristina +...

Simon + Rebecca [Married!]

We were thrilled to capture the wedding of Simon and Rebecca that took place at a beautiful family farm up north. Here’s a few of our favourite images from their special day: The morning was relaxed, and we spent it between a few houses on the property. The girls were getting at this beautiful barn, with downtime in between hair and make-up spent catching up with friends and family. Someone’s a little monkey! All the girls looked gorgeous, the make-up was amazing! It was hot..wait scratch that.. remember the heat wave we had in the summer? I know...

Hello…is anyone around??

Umm yes, yes we are! Just wanted to post a quick update to let you know that we’ve been super busy this past season and have lots of photo goodness planned for you! We’ve decided to nix our flash site and incorporate all our galleries and work into one presence, so we’re excited to unveil the changes by the end of November. I’ll be posting less around here because it just seems kind of silly when this blog is on its way out… but I did want to share a few shots from a recent wedding: The awesome Julie + Peter at Gairloch Gardens in Oakville:...

Milton Wedding Photography – L + M

Laura and Mark were married at the beautiful Piper’s Heath Golf Course in Milton, and the rain held off until everyone was inside and enjoying their dinners, it was perfect! I put together a little slideshow, let me know what you guys think! It was my first time using Animoto and so far I love it! If you want to see the video larger, you can do so here.   xo Cristina...

Mississauga Engagement Photos – J + S

Jill and Sheldon love to watch movies, it’s their thing, so of course we had to do something for their e-session that involved a bit of time cuddled up in front of a screen. But mother nature had other plans! We had planned on a really fun session at the drive in theater complete with popcorn, cotton candy, and them tucked inside the back of a 1960′s white chevy pick up truck (parked backwards of course) enjoying a little screen time al fresco. It was threatening rain all day, so we started their session a bit earlier to catch some sun and some relaxed...

Toronto Wedding Photography – J + P

Julie and Peter were married on August 6th, and it was such a fun wedding! I’ve got a lot of photos planned, and this is just Part 1 of 3 Enjoy some of our favs from their special day. A quite moment: Details and the beautiful bride! 10+ points to anyone that can guess how this one was taken? Not to be outdone, here’s Peter looking oh so dapper beside his sweet ride I love the ceiling of St. Christopher’s Church so beautiful! First kiss Ending with new favourite bridal portrait of the year. They didn’t know I was taking this, I love candid...

Sunset [Creative Potraits]

Personal work is a fantastic way to explore a new avenue, or refine a current vision. We love the sun, and shooting during the “golden hour”, so I asked Tracey (a fantastic model, who posed for Cristina previously during a boudoir shoot) if she wanted to model for a relaxed sunset session. Here’s a few of my favourites from her session: Just before we packed...

That Fire Within [Personal]

I was lying awake in bed last night (for the 5th night in a row.. thanks insomnia!) and I had a thought (well lots of them since my brain wouldn’t shut up and let me sleep)… I was thinking about creativity, inspiration and what drives each of us to find our voice, to sing and be heard by the masses. In a sea of people shouting I feel like it’s so easy to get lost, to get swayed in different directions and to be filled with sense of confusion or smallness (ok maybe that’s just me…) This drive that we all posses is like a fire inside us....

Distillery District [An Engagement]

Kelly & Rob love to cook, and they often walk up and down the aisles of the St Lawrence Market picking up fresh goodies to turn into yummy masterpieces. So it was only natural that their engagement session would feature fine wine, fresh herbs and kisses in front of deli counters It was rainy and gray outside (or you could say fresh and misty like Niagara Falls!) .. either way we ventured outside for a quick photo before heading back to their condo. Time to get cooking! Although they live in the city they garden! A secret herb garden on the roof top patio. I...

An Equestrian Engagement

I’m going to start this post with the last frame of Heather & James’ engagement session. I love the softness and sweetness of the queen anne’s lace (which was all around the beautiful property we shot at) and Heather dress. Meet two of the sweetest smiliest people ever! (smiley people are our favourite kind of people.. just saying!) + George.. well George’s legs in this case There may have been some twirling involved here! Ending for tonight with a fav: Stay tuned, I’m planning on adding a few more photos tomorrow! xo...

Cherry Avenue Farm [Part II]

(Check out Part I if you haven’t seen it yet!) I have a few more favs from Vicky + Mark’s engagement session, ok I lied.. I have a lot more These two rocked it, and you can see why I’m having a hard time narrowing down their photos for posting: Loved the warm light filtering through the leaves: Vicky you are so beautiful! xo, Cristina P.S. We received the sweetest note from these 2, and I just had to share: “Dear Cristina & Laszlo. Thanks for putting so much thought and effort into our e-session. Planning for this has been so much...
