“Some people meet the way the sky meets the earthโ€”inevitably, and there is no stopping or holding back their love. It exists in a finished world, beyond the reach of common sense.”
– Louise Erdrich

I think we came together like that, and I can’t imagine not having met you, it’s a great impossibility and I know that to be true more than 100%. Ten years already, and I find myself looking around to see where time decided to go. It feels like we’ve just begun to know each other, to really discover each other, to really understand one another, and it makes me happy.

Happy to know that there’s still so much I don’t know about you, happy to know that of what I do know I love so much. Happy for the future and the adventures I know we’ll have and the discoveries we’ll make. Happy to know that no matter what happens, you will still choose me and I will still choose you, just like we did 10 years ago, and again and again throughout the years.

I love you more than I know how to. I’m going to spend today in humble appreciation of what we have, with my heart full of gratitude for you, and thankfulness for the for the forces that brought us together. I’m going to smile all day, and miss you until you get back.

We’ve had the pleasure of seeing and photographing Kristy and Xeon through some of the most exciting times of their lives. We first met when they were expecting their little girl Rylei, for a chilly fall maternity session:

and again soon after she was born:

their Yorkville engagement session, and most recetly their wedding reception at Atlantis Pavillion in Toronto.

Kristy + Xeon, thank you so much for the opportunity to watch your family grow, to hang out with Rylei again and to party it up with you two! We had an amazing time ๐Ÿ™‚ Here’s a few of our favs:

They got ready together at the Fairmont Royal York, the hotel is beautiful; I loved all the intricate details and the tall ceilings made it easy to take full length photos of Kristy’s dress.

Kristy, you’re gorgeous!

I can’t believe what a big girl Rylei is! She loves to dance and put on quite a show for us ๐Ÿ™‚

Props!

Leaving the Royal York champagne in hand ๐Ÿ™‚

xo,

Cristina

These two know how to party! The whole day was spent dancing, singing.. and of course, enjoying a few drinks along the way. Thanks for including us in the party guys!

Hello gorgeous!

Loved Jacquie’s fun shoes!

Looking great guys!

xo,

Cristina

p.s

Just one more.. because I love this photo! We had so much fun with you two and your crazy friends! More photos coming in part 2 of your post… keep checking back!

Kinsie and Nick’s wedding day was beautiful, gorgeous blue skies with fluffy white clouds and an outdoor ceremony at The Doctor’s House. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to photograph these two!

One of my favs of Kinsie getting ready:

Kinsie you’re gorgeous! ๐Ÿ™‚

Found a funky mirror in the hallway of the hotel and of course, I had to play with the reflections

Love this one of Nick:

The cutest wedding day present a bride could ever receive, can you guess what it was??

A new puppy!

So cute!

Love this last one…. getting ready to head to The Doctor’s House!

There’s so many more to share ๐Ÿ™‚ But they’ll have to wait for the next post!

Kinsie and Nick, thank you again for making us a part of your celebration,

xo

p.s If you want to see more, check out their engagement session gallery here.

I don’t think I can convey my happiness when I see 2 people so in love, so happy, falling head over heels for their new baby. Little Paisley, you are one special, beautiful incredibly loved baby girl.

Lauren and Mike, we are both thrilled for you two and your families. She’s perfect, and I loved the time I had this weekend to snuggle her and take these family photos for you.

You might want to grab a drink and something to snack on.. this is going to be a long post! I couldn’t possibly narrow down the photos to just a few.

Lauren, you are so beautiful:

We photographed Lauren and Mike what seems like ages ago when they said their I Do’s (but really it’s only been 3 years). It’s been amazing to see your family grow, and to see your faces light up like they did on your wedding day!

I’ve decided to move away from more posed/studio newborn photography, and instead photograph new parents, in their home, documenting their space, their growing family as naturally as we photograph weddings. There are many wonderful newborn photographers out there who are incredible at what they do, but images like this move me and inspire me and I’m so happy to offer this type of session to our clients looking for something a little different.

Looks like she’s smiling!

Mike, you’ve got this daddy business all figured out ๐Ÿ˜€ Paisley quieted down and fell asleep as soon as you swaddled and cuddled her close to you, she knows she’s in good hands!

More smiles ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll end with my fav photo of the 3 of you:

Thank you for allowing me a little peek at your new love.

I have more, so many more I want to share, but they’ll have to wait until the full gallery goes up here.
