Alicia + Vince {Engaged}

Mother nature tempered her crazy mood swings and we had a beautiful day to photograph Alicia and Vince’s engagement session. We explored a few different areas in Oakville and laughed so much that my abs are sore today. Thanks for the mini workout guys!

The Spice Turns 2!

Our baby girl, who day by day surprises us, and seems less and less of a baby turned 2 on April 19th. We spent the day together, just the 3 of us, visiting parks, and doing what she loves. Watching animals and birds. We stopped by the Arboretum at RBG and can’t wait to go back again when the Lilacs will be blooming. This would be a beautiful location for an engagement session

She loves to wear dresses and all things girly, but would never turn down a little tree climbing adventure.

If you’ve ever met + hugged her you’ll know what this feels like:

She’s a fierce hugger, she’ll squeeze you as hard as she possibly can and won’t leg go right away. She gives the best hugs in the world and it’s one of my favourite things about her. They’re often accompanied by little grunts and sounds of clenched teeth. It’s the only way she knows how to hug. She’s intense and we wouldn’t have her any other way.

We kept walking and discovered some beautiful Magnolia trees. Their branches hung low to the ground and made a perfect little hideaway that she loved exploring.

After a picnic and a little nap we headed to our favourite park for cherry blossoms + baby duck watching, Kariya Park in Mississauga. I think we were too early for the baby ducks, we didn’t’ see any at all but the cherry blossoms were beautiful.

I feel much more comfortable behind the camera… but I will let Laszlo take a few photos of me on occasion, I love this one of Amina and I. I think it may be my new favourite one of the two of us

No ducklings yet, but we did see lots of turtles!

It was a beautiful and quiet day filled with hugs, and walks and time to reflect on how incredibly lucky we both are to have her in our lives. Happy Birthday Miss Amina Paprika! We love you endlessly! xox

A Daddy And His {Baby} Girl

We’ve decided to make it a family tradition, to have our photos taken in the spring around Amina’s birthday. Spring is my favourite season and with her birthday on April 19th, it’s the perfect time for family photos.

But I still can’t resist snapping a photo or two of my loves as often as I can:

This was taken over the Easter weekend, we were with family and friends and stole away for a few moments to take advantage of the beautiful light peeking through the trees.

K + X Toronto {Yorkville} Engagement

Kristy and Xeon are sweet, funny and so down to earth. We’ve had the pleasure of photographing them before and were excited to shoot their engagement session this past fall. They wanted something a bit different from their open field maternity photos, so we headed to the city. Yorkville to be exact.

No matter where we go though, we look for clean lines, and simple backgrounds that allow us to put the focus on our subjects. I love how even in the heart of one of the busiest shopping districts in Toronto we still managed to find a few quiet nooks for these two to hangout.

A quick outfit change and we were off again:

Posh Veils {A Creative Collaboration}

We had the pleasure of photographing Posh Veil’s 2012 headpiece collection and I am so excited to show you the results of this fantastic collaboration with so many talented individuals!

For now though here’s a little peek at Rajiv from Letters In Ink working his magic on the large flower rimmed chalkboard:

Rajiv’s work is beautiful and it was amazing to watch him create this stunning chalk installation for us.

This was our first commercial shoot and it went off fabulously, this is definitely an area of photography that we want to delve into some more.

Hello hello!

We’re so so happy to {finally} launch our new blog/site. Here you can find everything you need, in just one online presence. It’s been a long time coming and we’re absolutely thrilled with the results.

We just wanted to say thank you to everyone that supported us through this change. We’ll be updating the Galleries Page with more photos & full wedding galleries over the next little while. So check back often

2011 was a great year, but 2012 is going to be fantastic. We’ve got the best clients in the world, and some beautiful weddings coming up that we can’t wait to photograph.
